“I can’t I’m preppin” to enter the Temple.

About a year ago two great friends and I made a logo for our jumpers. ”I can’t I’m prepin”. Our ultimatim for this jumper was to prove that we were focused on serving a Mission first and then getting married in the Temple. Now Sister Manning (Sariah) is serving and has been out for almost 10 months in Colarado. One out of the three absolutely done what was planned and desired.

Funny how things can change slowly. I suppose ‘our ways are not the Lords’ would be the right phrase to use right about now.

Slowly I have seen my heart-felt desire to serve my Mission fade away… And I’ve spoken with a few Family members how I can put off my Mission for the Blessing of the Temple. To be honest I still want to serve my Mission. Would it be selfish of me to ask him to wait? Sometimes I feel as though I am lying to my heart and the Lord.

As a young girl I ALWAYS knew in my heart that I wanted to serve a Mission. Second I knew I wanted to go so badly because I really didn’t have a preference as to where I wanted to serve. My answer was the same and still is the same when people ask ‘Where do you want to serve’

What comforts me the most is knowing that everything leads to the Temple. Every other goal that I have in mind is centred by the Savior Jesus Christ and the only way to fulfill that further is to enter the Temple perhaps not through Serving a Mission…

I’m not suggesting Marriage is a carnal thing. It’s not, infact it is a beautiful ordinance. The Covenants that I will make in the Temple one day will be so significant to the Family I will raise with my Eternal companian.

It takes a leap of Faith to settle down with someone you have fallen in love with. Regardless of thier past or yours. The Lord works in mysterious ways, he has a humor you and I both know about.

I’ve come to the conclusion that although My mind and heart was set on serving that Mission and making this Jumper was specifically for it, I suppose in a way I can change it’s meaning to “I can’t I’m prepin” to enter the Temple with my Eternal Companian.

One day you will come to two very great decisions as Sisters in this great Gospel to serve a mission or enter the Temple - I thought I would never have to come to making a decision so significant like this However the Lord knows us best. Fervent Prayer and Scripture study surely will bring your answer and sometimes your heart knows the answer already you just have to take that leap of Faith and guard your self from any unworthy acts that will prohibit your entrance through the front door of the Lords home with an “I Can’t I’m prepin” attitude.

Best Christmas ever!

Today is Christmas and I had the opportunity to speak with my Older Brother on the Mission. Elder Trunked pretty bad (: so tomorrow my Missionary Monday will be all about him (:

Advice for finding “THE ONE”

I just couldn’t STOP laughing! This is so hilarious but very true. Take your time my lovely’s the one is out there somewhere :) PS: I think it was hilarious too because my name is Ruth lol

Please excuse it’s not so “kind” or “reverent” nature.

Playing the piano.

Just some funny humor. So I’m off to church very soon. Being the Pianist in my ward I’ve always had the urge to randomly play a song during those awkward silent moments or even to set the speakers mood hahaha Sunday are the best and I love, love, love it :) Sydney looks Beautiful today…

Priesthood.

When I have a family of my own there’s two things I have promised myself to do. One of them will be to honor and support the Priesthood who will preside over my Family with every ounce of energy and faith that I have. My second promise…will just have to wait :)

I suppose being brought up with great Priesthood holders in my home like My Dad and Brothers I have come to know the importance of respecting them and most importantly the Blessings I have received for having it in my life.

Doctrine and Covenants 107 is amazing ladies learn it, also if you have time Alma 13 goes very well with studying it :)

Another ‘HIGHEST OF FIVE’ to the idea of TUMBLRINSTITUTE :)

Putting meaning to the stastement “Using media as a source of Spreading the Gospel”…LOVE IT!

Missionary Monday - Email from Elder :)

One thing that made my day today was Elders email to us and I quote ” I hope this brightened your day because I know how much you hate Mondays” lol He explained how the courier drove up to their apartment just as they were leaving for an appointment and he was so excited to receive his package with a million letters from me haha he admitted to crying alone in his room… awww!!

Elder mentioned a lot in his email how thankful he was for the way my parents had taught us children. And I guess that’s my Missionary Monday lesson for today. No matter how old we get or far away we are from our parents we will always remember their teachings. It sticks to us like glue. Especially on the mission. I just can’t wait to serve my Mission :)

Keep those letters and emails going to our dear Missionaries it’s the best service you could give (: To be continued….

Package for a Missionary & First date for me…

This Saturday Morning I decided to send a package to my Dear brother on the Mission :) I miss him heaps but I know he is doing well.

He is in Southport QLD. I had so much to tell him like my-first date, how sweet I thought the guy was and how he wasn’t there for me to come home and SPILL all the news too. I know that’s what Sisters are for but unfortunately I don’t have any! Luckily non of my followers know me or this RM which makes it a little easier for you me blab on about him ;) I think the simplest dates are the best. I really enjoyed it. It was even more adorable that he brought me home on time. 20 points for good looks (not that good looks have anything to do with it), 20 for being a Return Missionary and 60 points for being the first to ask my Parents to take me out on a date ;)  But reality is a date is a date. It is what it is. He’s just awesome and that is all :D

This is the beauty of the Gospel, sweet blessings like knowing that Families are forever no matter how apart you are from each other. Elder has two baptisms coming up. He LOVES the work and is enjoying the Mission life. I absolutely LOVE Missionary work.

I just can’t stay away.

Dear Fellow Tumblr’s A DANCE THEME ?

I have to come up with a THEME for a ward dance coming up I have no idea of what I should come up with and where to start - and i thought lets see what you guys have had in the past that was fun and worked :) Any ideas please?

Sometimes when we’re called into a position we feel inadequate and overwhelmed but then we have to remember we’re not there to fill in the shoes of those who served previously, we’re there to expand them.
